Apple is a company that is known for its costly price tag.
It’s a brand that people boast of when they own it and ridicule it otherwise. Either way, Apple is the benchmark for every flagship phone that is released.
Galaxy S8 has released? Cool, Samsung will definitely put up a slide to compare it with the Apple’s latest iPhone.
OnePlus will also compare it with Apple’s camera.
In short, there’s always that “mandatory apple comparison” that is made in every flagship smartphone’s launch.
Apple’s Last Flagship:
It’s been 10 years since Steve Jobs launched the first iPhone, the last flagship phone released by Apple would definitely be the iPhone 10(X).
Apple shocked everyone by announcing the all-new Face-Unlock feature, which actually failed on stage. Keeping the shortcomings aside, the main attraction of the iPhone X would be its camera and the full-screen bezel-less display.
Here are it’s specifications:
- Processor: 2.45 GHz Octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 835.
- RAM: 6 GB/8GB
- GPU: Adreno 540
- ROM: 64 GB / 128 GB
- Display: 6.01-inch 18:9 Optic AMOLED display with corning gorilla glass 5
- Camera: Dual rear 16 MP + 20 MP and 16 MP front camera with EIS.
- Battery: 3300 mAh
- Os: Android 7.1 (Nougat)
- Sensors: accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass.

If you remember, Apple has also launched the iPhone 8 alongside iPhone X. It doesn’t have face unlock but the camera and the processor have drastically been improved as compared to its predecessor.
What’s Apple Planning for 2018?
The brand’s keynote happens in September every year where it unveils new devices, from watches to iPhone.
Now that we know the date, which phone would Apple be launching?
There’s actually no information as of now. But we are assuming that it might be called iPhone 9 or iPhone 11, or maybe, iPhone XI, iPhone X Plus or just iPhone. Only time has to tell.
A few months ago, there was a news that Apple was getting its OLED displays manufactured from Samsung.
So, there might be 2 new variants of iPhone according to the rumors. With each one coming with an OLED screen.
The first iPhone to be sporting a 5.8 inch OLED display, the second iPhone could be sporting a 6.3inch OLED display.
When it comes to pricing, the iPhone X is roughly priced around 1 Lakh rupees in India, that is roughly $1500 USD.
But if rumors are to be believed, Apple will launch 2-3 cheaper variants which will, of course, be cheaper than iPhone X mainly to attract new customers.
Expecting a bezel-less design to carry the legacy of the iPhone X. The back may be made up of glass, with one variant being made of metal.
Expecting a Face ID, a much more improvised version of Face ID. According to a patent filed by Apple in 2013, It may include an on Screen fingerprint scanner as well. Vivo is bringing it with its new device, we can safely assume that Apple might use this tech.
Expecting it to come equipped with 5G, if not out of the box, but with an OTA update. 5G will deliver faster cellular internet connections than the present 4G network, but that’s yet to launch.
A wireless charging in which the phone and the mat need not be in contact. It may make use of magnetic field resonance wherein, it’ll charge the phone within 1-meter range wirelessly.
A much better battery this time and a much better camera. It may also include VR, AR, and AI, which are the 3 things that will change the way any smartphone is used.
As of now, there might be no leaks, but we’ll keep you updated with the latest news from Apple.
